Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Yeh, I am looking at Pipex as well, as soon as the number is registered with BT, I can order the line from Pipex, should be within 24 hours.

Just waiting for the news on the inspection today and then I can move forward ensuring the monies arrive tomorrow at our solicitiors to complete.

Setting up a surround sound system is fairly easy, it's just plugging wires in from one terminal to the other, as long as your sensible about it and do it methodically then you shouldn't have a problem.

First up, layout your speakers where you want them to go around the room, then run the cables back one at a time and plug it into the amp, they are all marked at either end - well certainly on the amp so it's pretty straightforward :)

Good news about BT then, my gf is going to be taking her existing number with her so will have to wait until that is transferred over and then order another line from Pipex :)

Sounds all a bit too technical for me, I am paying the guy in the shop to install it all when he delivers it, hopefully on Saturday if all goes well.

Just had a text message from BT to say they have connected my phone up without having to visit site. Just waiting for it to register on their site and then I can order Broadband from another supplier.

Oooo I'd never even thought about that .... dangnabit, back to the drawing board .... was thinking about getting the Marantz SR4400 amp with Gale HT405.1 surround sound speakers, I think the amp should be able to take another input well yeah it will ... durrr - it's got more inputs than you can poke a stick at :)

It is tough, I went for one from Sony to match the new TV and it is supposed to work with Sky+ so I can watch all the footy matches with it as well.

It will just be like being at the game :D

Yes I got the FLU version. The only time I have had to turn the light back on is when the batteries are on their way out. If you have fresh batteries in, you could have a faulty unit. It's probably best to contact whoever you bought it from (I got mine from gbax.com)

You do need the SMC installed if you want to use the GP32. There is nothing in the internal memory that can run by itself. I had a few problems with my SMC and connection at first. Don't know how I got round it though. After it was formatted, I just used my media card reader/writer instead of linking the GP32 up.

Was there not any formatting/link-up instructions?

I'll try linking mine up when I get home (if I can find the link cable :/ ) and see if I can help any more.

No problem :)

EDIT - Mattribute has had his a bit longer than me. Maybe he can help too?

This is for Bullett in the morning, about the GP32.

Did you get the FLU version? If so, is the light meant to last only for a few seconds at a time before you have to press the button again?

Does a SMC card HAVE to be installed? The reason I ask is because my GP32 display is dying out every few seconds or so after switching it on. It isn't even recognised by my PC yet, despite installing the driver, but I'm sure these hardware problems need to be solved first.

Ta very much.
