Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Well 56K modems dont actually go at 56K. Even if you had a perfect line you would be lucky to get over 50K. 48K is about average for a 56K modem. And it is quite speedy, over the christmas period I donwloaded at 21.5k/s and download 57mb in 45mins.

Its a shame cable isnt around my area as I would get that. Hopefully I can persuade my dad in getting ISDN, so then I can have it at 64K.

Its all underground cabling. BT have been working on the phbone lines around the area. Its just a pain as I normally spend a good 4 or 5 hours(sometimes even 10 hours) on the net most days downloading stuff and on here for abit of the time.

Hello. I havent been on for a day or two as the damn internet does work too well. The Phone line is all crakley and iam connected at 21.6K instead of the normal 48K. Its very slow. Hope BT can sort out the phone line soon.
