Why am I trying it out anyway?
The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.
Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.
As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)
Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Phd viva is the thing they do to you when you're doing a doctorate every year to see if they want to keep you around. It's kind of like exams except instead they put you in a room with your supervisors and some other random invigilator types and then they subject you to all sorts of probing and analysis (of your research) but invariably some awkward git thinks he understands but doesn't and keeps side tracking you and talking about things you know nothing about because they are irrelevent, and then they let you through anyway because stopping you now is far too much hassle.

Phd viva is the thing they do to you when you're doing a doctorate every year to see if they want to keep you around. It's kind of like exams except instead they put you in a room with your supervisors and some other random invigilator types and then they subject you to all sorts of probing and analysis (of your research) but invariably some awkward git thinks he understands but doesn't and keeps side tracking you and talking about things you know nothing about because they are irrelevent, and then they let you through anyway because stopping you now is far too much hassle.

You know when someone says something and you respond without thinking. Well I made my boss a nice lunch with plenty of garlic and just walked through his office when he said:
Him "My mouth tastes like I've eaten an Italian"
Me "Male or female"
Him "I'm not going to reply to that"
Me makes a quick exit.
Thank god I'm going home in approx. 45 mins. As soon as I get in the house I'm going to lock the door and refuse to see anyone. It has been one of those days :)
