Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Bit like when they tell you to go at a steady speed over speed humps. Instead people accelerate and brake harshly causing more noise and pollution to the environment. I'd like to see some statistics about how many lives speed humps have saved. Because they are annoying, and more unsightly than a flat piece of beautiful black tarmac

I'm sure I read somewhere that he had been having meetings with the council traffic light people and got them to change them from flowing sequence (even with jams) to what you've just described. Then with the congestion charge started he told them all to switch them back to how they were ages ago.

Actually I think it was discussed on Top Gear and the other bloke (not Clarkson) sat at a traffic light for 2 and half mins and the lights went green for approx 20 secs if that. Enough to get about 2 or 3 cars through.

Funny thing was, your told to turn your engine off to stop pollution but they were driving in one of these new Saabs which actually cleans the air that it uses so turning the engine off was worse for the environment :)

Alan Partridge quotes, dont worry. Anyway the traffic lights have been rigged for months, even years. At some you have to wait for 3 mins on red. 3 mins! you could get out of your car, lock it, go to maccy d's, buy a burger, eat it, buy an apple thingy, burn your mouth on it, buy a drink, go to the toilet, read the graphiti and still make it back in time for the red and amber light.

Didnt know he had changed the lights

Hehe....well I don't know all the arguements as I'm 80 odd miles away and don't have a need to travel to London all that often.

But I'm aware of Ken doing some dodgy deals with the traffic flow up until the congestion charges were brought into effect, then he turns them all back to how they should have been and traffic starts to flow better, couple this with, it was half term and he was made to look a hero.

Unfortunately everyone knows the real answer.

As for pedestrianisation of London....whoooooosh, right over my head :D

Pray tell!

Luckily i dont live within the zone. I just get the train into town when i want guitar stuff. Havnt heard much about it all lately, apparently its going well. I just hope they dont increase the area, then i might be engulfed in it. I personally think they should raise it to £10, then see who really needs to drive in central London.

"What do you think of the pedestrianisation of London town center?"

See what i did there?

"I personally think its a bad idea"

Your probably not getting this are you?

I'll shut up now

Well that's the trouble when you live in London, how is the congestion in the old smoke now that Mr Mayor has set the traffic lights back to their proper sequences?

I can't remember how many lessons I had when I learnt before I took my test, I do know that taking my test was probably the most nerve wracking experiences of my life....more than job interviews or taking exams!
