I've just rented out Hogs of War for the Playstation and I thoroughly enjoy playing it.

The game play is quality and some of the comments these little pigs make are hilarious!

What made me write about this was the amount of games that have their main character/s as animals. Why is this?

Is it more fun controlling a porky little piglet than a brave fighting soldier?

We have fur fighters, banjo and kazooie, sonic the list goes on.....

These are great games and just wouldn’t be the same if the characters wre human. A speedy blue hedgehog is pleasing to the eye and pretty funny too.

These games let our imaginations run free because in real life the situations that these animals are in would just not happen! I mean have *you* ever seen a hedgehog run like sonic?! Don’t answer that! :-)

Are we going to see more games in the future involving animals in them, and if so what kind of animals?

Will we soon be seeing "Simon the Stick Insect"?!

Personally I don’t think so, But I do know one thing.....

Sonic the Hedgehog is always gonna be around!

Thanks for Reading

Dav1d :-)

There was a fly hunting sim on this 486 shareware disc...you played a giant fly swat, going round a house looking for flies..

Iquana, the Fly Hunting Sim.

Blend into the back ground slowly and then target flys and other flying insects with your tongue.

Compete with other iguanas for top spots.

Insects will learn though and be harder to catch.

A game of skill, cunning and patience.

It has potential.

Rather bad?

"The checkout operator pulled out her automatic shotgun and started shooting at Iguana. She dived out of the way anfd looked back to see her faithful assistant Carrot slumping to the floor in a pool of blood which slowly seeped under the baked bean can pyramid."

Or such like.

Classic stuff =P

Heh don't. They're rather bad. Inspector Iguana would make a good game. Good multiplayer too, everyone takes a character and tries to take over the world before the others. Brilliant stuff.
