2 discs, took 26 minutes to install.
Ran through the tutorial and, no word of a lie, fell asleep.
So, is it any good?
Well...it's not terrible.
The graphics are incredible, The Swiss Alps recreated in stunning detail, Tokyo, Scotland etc.
Some of the exterior views are quite good.
Being a passenger sucks, you can look around and see out of the windows.
Driving? Well, a 12 minute tutorial to tell you to release the brakes, apply the throttle and some other levers.
uh-huh, thanks for that.
I did the passenger tutorial, collected passengers and finished the mission.
Rating at the end?
I broke the speed limit for a total of 9 minutes, subjected the passengers to "unacceptable levels of jostling" was "4mins 35 seconds late for 2 stations" and I failed because I smashed into the end of the station instead of stopping.
I want to say I hate this game. God knows I've hounded it for ages, but...I don't hate it.
It's not brilliant, it won't keep me up for months...but it's...well...nice.
relaxing, no guns, no enemies.
I don't know, maybe I am getting old after all.
I'm off to see meh woman, but I'll be playing it more tomorrow night, to see what it's like in a proper game.
(Ok, feel free to taunt and mock me, god knows I would)
You want to be all geeky, go to the web forum.
I need some ram though, animating gets so slow when it takes about 20 seconds to render a 30th of a second...
YH: Voodoo 5, 96mb RAM, AMD K-62 333mhz. Pitiful. Even at 640/480 and lowest graphics possible I can still only muster 20fps!
:)
> I got UT today! Pitiful graphics, but playable.
What spec is your machine?
