Why is it I like Nintendo?

(I don’t know you tell me)

Shut up you! Anyway we give many a reason why we say one is better than the other is the differences between the Nintendo and Sony games.

(Yeah Playstation games rule and Nintendo’s well don’t)

Erm ok. The games play differently. Playstation games are more serious, Adult (not mature) and realistic and Nintendo’s are more well fun!

(Are you saying the Playstation isn’t fun?)

No you see Nintendo tends to break the rules of game creating a bit. If Sony was making a Tennis game they would make a game in the style of Virtual Tennis but Nintendo make a brilliant Tennis game that is very different to a normal Tennis game a.k.a Mario Tennis. Mario Tennis is a pure laugh, hit your opponents, the ring shot mode, Luigi crying it is gaming brilliance and good fun but that’s because Nintendo have no restrictions if they believe there should be a court with weapons and it shakes with Lava underneath they will make one but Sony will try sticking to the rules.

(Sony has “fun” “unrealistic” games as well!)

Perfect true but nowhere near as much! It is a breath of fresh air when the Playstation gets something different i.e. WWF Smackdown 2. It is insane fun! But if you get thrown of a Hell in the cell you get straight back up? Not even the actual WWF do that! But it bends the rules and it is fun to play! It works the same with Nintendo when we get an Adult or realistic title such as Perfect Dark or Resident Evil 2 we go mad because it is something new! Pikmin will be great but I am looking more forward to Eternal Darkness, as it is something I am not as used to!

(So what you are saying is that Sony’s games are sticking to the rules of life with the Adult and realistic titles but Nintendo break them and make there own rules such as why should an RPG be like this or why does Football have to obey by rules? Why can’t we pelt them with shells? Nintendo is unrealistic and it isn’t an accident it is so games can do more! Sony on the other hand have realistic fun games, they are enjoyable and more believable like it is real! They don’t have paper characters moving around a 3D world.)

Exactly and the reason why I prefer Nintendo over Sony is because the insane games designed by the Big N are games are prefer to realistic games!

(And I prefer Sony because games that feel more real are more enjoyable as I honestly believe I can be having this fun!)

Exactly!

(Yeah I think I agree!)

No were not supposed to agree!

(Oh yeah…)

What you are basically saying here is

How can you be so

erm right so why is Virtual Tennis bad? it got better mark than Mario Tennis! ONe would stick to fun realism whilst the other to fun unrealism.

Bonus what im trying to say is thay both console mix all styles of gaming but sony dominate ones tyle whilst Nintendo the other!

I am well aware the word fun desn't justify itself well thats why i made the PS2 side say are you asying sony games arent fun!

You see there is two perspectives, ones who don't care if games look cute and weird lets have a laugh and those thinking i have fun playing games that seem real!

It is my notice with the differences between the two consoles. Damn it i thought you would agree with this one. Ahhh well back to the drawing board!

How can you be so biased? It's astounding. I've heard of Nintys believing that Nintendo games are better but this really takes the p!ss.

Huh oh I see, TBN this new method begins with me explaining it then explaining what i eman more detailed it is teh same message throughout, anyway the idea is that i use a person as a die ahrd Sonyphile and the other a die ahrd Ninty and we have arguments etc... much like this!

This is utter drivel. Games are not made instantly fun by making them unrealistic, that is nonsense, good fluid gameplay makes games fun. Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast being the perfect example. But the notion of fun is flawed, in the same way the notion of normal is flawed.

Why?? Because everyone has their own opinion and viewpoint, but it doesnt look good for you Dringo if you are of the opinion that if it isn't realistic, it's fun, and if it is realistic it isn't fun. Don't be silly.

I do know what you are getting at, though, I just think you need to clarify yourself better and using the word 'fun' doesn't do it very well. Nintendo games are not created to be unrealistic. I can remember reading an interview with Miyamoto, which discussed his production and design methods. The first thing he does is sits with the controller in his hand and figures out what would happen if he pushed a certain button, and he bases his games on that. He personally admits to writing games which will appeal to younger gamers, because that is the types of game he enjoys playing himself, but he accepts that for every person who does liek this style, there is someone who doesn't.

I'm a PS2 man, but i know for certain games, the only place to go is to Nintendo. I love Mario games, and sometimes for a quality bit of pure fun gaming, it's gotta be Nintendo. That's why my PS2 sits proudly next to my Snes. And, money willing, i'll get a Gamecube - because i'm not gonna get my fix of certain games on the PS2. That's why i hope Nintendo stay with the types of games they have.

Dringo, I can't believe you wrote that. The first half of your post is such blind "Nintendo WILL make a better game" faith it disgusts me. I am disappointed in you.

take the ISS games as a good example. the 64 version is more arcade based and not really like the real thing. u can score from 30yrds nearly everytime! whereas the playstions ISS pro evo is completly realistic and much better for it. requires much more skill. personally i prefer ISS on the playstion.

but other types of games nintendo do make better. nobody nintendo on the cartoony racer. mario kart will always be king. and mario tennis is pure class. i play it all the time with my bro
