Ok Resident Evil zero will appear on the PS2 in a couple of years but I’m intending to buy this game to play the bravo team mission and a GC to run it obviously despite the crowd Nintendo seems to attract. (damn capcom)

I've been checking out the GC lineup over on videogames.com and it's very poor, maybe perfect dark zero may be worth a look but other than that there's nothing remotely to my interest, If you follow Zelda, pokemon or the Mario games then your gona be over the moon with the GC, but they just don’t appeal to me.

I liked waverace on the N64 cus lets face it the playstation was pretty awful at any water effects but splashdown on the PS2 has the best water effects I’ve ever seen and looks astonishing, far better than waverace GC lets just hope it has a game as good to back it up.

The GC games all look very similar to PS2 games only with more colourful characters, less storage space and not so many great titles!, The PS2 has had a head start over both the GC and xbox but with these excellent titles It’ll definatly be the most played on.

Sorry what was that?
What great titles ??

Thats PS2's problem they are losing 3rd party making Nintendo stronger!

But I see your point. The PS2 looks like a better

True but they can all be found on the PC and a few on teh 64 and with Eternal Darkness and Too human and RE0 you will not regret getting a GC!

So you like a FEW cartoony games but not too many...

You're not quite so narrow minded as I first thought.

On Nintendo you'll find that they're better than Crash and Spyro (which were both good games) and if you find there's too many then you don't have to buy them all.

Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, are good ones to start off with and then make your way from there.

I'd choose Gamecube over PS2 anyday but I envy you getting the best from both worlds (and having somthing to play now!)

mmm i'll check that one out thanks.

Yeah i'm waiting for the PS2 version kinda 2D platformer in a 3D enviroment and i still think kurby 64 ripped this off slightly, good game though but most likely a cheesy story like the first one hahaha.

it's had a head start what you really should be comparing is the gamecube in a year to the PS2 now but it's each to their own and i've always been a fan of some gothic horror type adventure games and Sony's machine's are full of em.

Until you play on the Gamecube... :-D

Anyway, if you looked carefully at the GCN game list then you have found plenty of games that should appeal to you.

And no, not all of them have cute graphics.

Eternal Darkness should be right up your street being a survival horror (you might prefer Resident evil but I'm sure you'll love this one as a side dish.)

Klonoa is a strange RPG about shape shifting and controlling monsters.

A sort of more mature Pokemon.

Rogue Leader will be a great Ship shooter, supposedly better than Starfighter on the PS2.

There's plenty more too that don't have the cartoony graphics that you so despise.

Ofcourse, if you DID give these cartoony games a fair chance then you'd quickly find that they're first class games and well worth playing through.

The Gamecube is sure to have a demo disk of some sort for you to try.

As for that list of "great games" for the PS2.

Half of them won't be so great, and most of the decent ones will probably appear on both the Xbox and Gamecube too.

But I see your point. The PS2 looks like a better deal through your eyes right now.
