The WWF is now in it 17th year, and in all fairness to it, that is a fair old time. BUT, can the WWF go another 17 years and beyond?

If the WWF goes on for many, many more years, will Vince McMahon still be ‘the boss’. He is about 55 now, which means he still has many years ahead of him, though Vince often steps into the ring, would we see less of that in the future? Or would someone else take over WWF? Shane O’ Mac is always a possible re-placement as is Stephanie. Whatever happens, you have to believe, WWF will always be a McMahon business.

As the federation has been around many years, a lot of ideas would have been used up. Does this mean that WWF will loose all its originality? Many storylines have been done, but can many more be accomplished in the future. Many of us have noticed that the WWF has been declining in originality. Many of the best possibly storylines have already been done. Austin and Vince has been one of the best previous, DX and the Nation, Test marriage to Stephanie which ended up as HHH marring Stephanie or the Undertaker and Mankind feuds. At the moment we are seeing the WWF/WCW Invasion angle… this cannot go on, so what will follow?

There are many superstars in the WWF today, but very few of them are young and rising ones. Many, such as the Undertaker, Rock, Austin and Triple H have been around many years. Rock wants to act in his near future, The Undertaker has been at the WWF for over 10 years… can he last much longer and Austin has many injuries that could end his career very quickly. Who in the future would replace these superstars at the top of the WWF Mountain? What about the other divisions. Titles such as the women’s, Hardcore and light heavy have been very underused as of present. Does this mean that there are not enough young and rising superstars left to take on these belts, one will hope that these belts do have a future, but you have to wonder who the next big superstar will be!

So what does the future hold for the WWF, will it continue for many more decades and still be the thriving business it is today, or will the WWF loose all popularity and become a thing of the past?

There is one emerging....MECW, or something like that.

Led by The Sandman, who I've never seen wrestle, but apparently is good.

Not quite right there old chap. The WWF has never owned any part of ECW. In fact according to information posted on the old ECW website, shortly before it disapeared, the creditors of ECW, who owned the rights by default when it went bankrupt were in the process of filing a lwsuit against the WWF for using it's name, music and logos, all of which they own the rights to and for incorrectly stating the Stephanie was the new owner of ECW. Sorry for sounding so happy, but i'm ECWs biggest fan and own all their pay-per-view events on DVD. Hope the WWF gets a legal ass-whooping.

My predictions based around what I have heard:

Shane to own WCW in the future.

Stephanie to own WWF: She already comes up with angles and storylines for wrestlers and has occasionally done whole shows eg. Smackdown.

HHH will stay with the WWF and turn face on his return and fued with Austin.

Next big stars will be:

Eddie Guerro
Test
Kurt Angle (alredy started)
Raven (believe it or not, he's gonna be the next Mick Foley i.e take all the bug "bumps")
Albert
Kane will become a bigger star
Jericho
Benoit
Rikishi
Tazz? (The WWF are sceptical though because of his height)
Mark Henery (apparently, he will be a relatively big star)
There are undoubtedly others.

Undertaker will most probably retire in rougjhly 2 years from now as in an interview he has said he is not ready to leave yet.

The Rock wants to do more acting but has said the WWF will be his no1 priority. He will prbably take up an acting carrer after hie WWF carrer is over.

Mick Foley has said that one way or the other he will always be involved in the WWF.

The WWF will always be around as long as it comes up with original ideas and storylines. It's one of American citezens favourite pastimes, watching the WWF.

Hmmmmmmmm maybe I should do my own "most probably going to happen soon topic" :D

stephnie will never take over the wwf-its a mans job. the only ladys qualified are linda mcmahon and chyna. i think there is still time before the wwf is history but there will be another major federation soon because wwf co-owns wcw and ecw now. you are right about running out of story lines though ut they can repeat some beacause most of them are feuds anyway. the wwf needs more factions like the past DX-ministry-corparation and nation of domination.
