Goldeneye 2.

One - Nil to the er-no man.

Lets hope it's Two - Nil, come E3, with Ninty and M$ teaming up.

I can dream, can't I?

True but EA would lose a lot of ground if it pulled out of other console markets. SEGA and Microsoft would soon fill the gaps, as they are already doing with XSN and Sega's own online gaming knowledge.

On the otherhand if EA carried on in the other markets, there would be little point in getting the EA console.

Either way EA lose revenue.

I doubt EA would be the only developer for the system.

I have to admit some of EA's products have improved in quality but they still like to make the quick crappy cash-ins that they are infamous for. What I like about EA is they realise that quick crappy cash-in is not always the way to go and they get some decent talent to make a game for them (Freedom Fighters & Buffy for instance) but then they bring out some sub-par product like MoH, which is enjoyable in a by-the-numbers kind of way but a far cry from Halo (or Far Cry if what I hear is true!).

Because in America it's become a brand name in it's own right. IGN get emails every week asking 'when's Goldeneye 2 out?'.

Stupid but true.

True but I doubt they'd take the risk as they play every market at the moment. Launching a console is risky as they've already found out.

None of those licence's matches Nintendo's recent Zelda efforts, in as far as quality gaming, as far as I'm concerned.

Good licences? Yes, are they beaten in all the categories by something better and 'non-EA'? Yes.

and you know EA would find some way to screw it all up.

Why in the hell do we need Goldeneye 2?

I'd be happy if it was just an update of the Rare cassic, but an EA remake?
Pffffffffffft, it's bound to chew the big one.

I'm not saying they'd make more money... just they'd be the biggest format in the west....

Although would probably die in the east.

Not to mention The Sims.

That is true... but EA are the biggest gaming entity in the west, bigger than Microsoft.... Sony.... Rockstarr... Ubi-soft... anyone.

If they'd make a console now with so many development houses with Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, James Bond, FIFA, NHL, Rugby, Timesplitters, Medal of Honor, SSX, Burnout, Need for Speed etc... etc... then they are almost guarnteed a fantastic line up year in year out...
