Exactly.
I have fond memories of playing Doom 1, 2, the extra levels, final doom and all the cool mods.
I bought the Half-Life generation pack about 2 years ago and I probably spent a total of 5 hours on ALL the games in that pack.
Doom is a classic, Half-Life is less of a classic to me, I'd much rather play Perfect Dark, RS3, Halo and even good ol' Turok 4. Half-Life just felt like another Quake-a-like when I played it.
No doubt HL2 will be the mutts nutts but it certaintly can't beat Doom for me as far as fond memories and 'feeling right' gaming goes.

and that has some nice multiplayer action. Roll on Doom 3!

Not in online play and multiplayer. That's why I'm more interested in Doom3.
