Not likely, but it would be nice since it'd be released 1 day after my birthday.

Doom 3 looks fake... hl2 looks real..

No, Doom 3 *looks* better than Half Life 2, but the physics and AI in HL2 make a very clever AI game look as stupid as a lobotomised El Robin.

I'm not going to judge a game merely on graphical effects.

Therefore, even if it may look better, I'm not expecting much from Half Life 2 over other FPSs.

So hopefully, my lack of overhypedness (yes, I know it isn't a real word) may cause me to be pleasantly suprised.

Well if it is then I shall anticipate it a lot more. :)

Tbh none of them are out yet anyway.

But I would like to point out, again, that HL2 won't be on live which is a serious dent as far as I'm concerned.

But I am very serious about my multiplayer.

Half Life 2 > All FPS

Oh I SEE what you mean now. You don't mean he meant it's the way Doom3 feels you meant he meant it's just about violence and blood.
In which case what I was doing in the original post by turning what he said around was infact the correct interpretation after all.

Yes Doom3 feels more important to me than HL2.
