Hedfix - although it may be possible to measure the amount of photons emitted by the sun over a time frame, you don't actually measure in photons.

A photon is a single piece of 'light energy' emitted from the sun/torches/etc. When a photon hits the back of an eye, you see it.

Photon might be, but they base a lot of things in actual/theoretical so photon must be an actual term.

Isn't it a unit for measuring the suns rays or something?

I think Halo 2/3 should have a MK5 that's been taken over by the flood, I definately want to see the flood back again at some point.

Perhaps covenant troops that have been taken over by the flood?

Well they should have photon torpedos in Halo 2 anyway... :D

I don't think 'Photon' is used in Halo - all the covenant weapons (minus the needler) are Plasma.
