Heheheh!
In all honesty I think the PS2 is a dire utility for gaming. Hopefully the PS3 will have some decent innovation and some modern peripherals that aren't just gimmicks.
Seeing as I have owned and sold 2 PS2's I think I hve given it more than a fair chance to prove itself. The only game that will draw me back if any will be Metal Gear 3 , however it looks like its heading to the PC shortly after and it all depends if they can rectify how poor Metal Gear Solid 2 was in places.
I'll take that as an admission that everything you have said about the PS2 is overblown, incorrect and purely for effect?
Alastair, you seem to be backing him up... were you also being a wind-up merchant? You can appreciate that the PS2 is a quality console and sells well for a good reason? (I doubt it)
Ho Ho.

1. Slagging off the PS2's very easy, it basically does it to itself
2. What's amusing is deliberately making an "over-enthusiastic" comment and then seeing people bend over backwards to right what they see to be injustices. Infact these people end up turning into the real "over-enthusiastic" people that the original poster was trying to be.
3 (sort of part of number 2 but it deserves it own number) IRONY IS DELICIOUS
Ho Ho.
I would like to quote from somebody at NTSC-UK who recently described out the difference between a 'fan' and a 'fanboy'.
A fan will say, yeah, I love margarine.
A fanboy will say "margarine rocks, but I F&^KING HATE BUTTER" and then proceed to tell everyone why butter is rubbish.
Hedfix, you implied I was a fanboy, but I've said nothing negative about the GC... just tried to respond to all the ridiculous slagging being given to the PS2 (even when it's not even part of the current topic).
