Did I hear someone say the N64 is dead? Smack, Bam, Wallop, crash. I hope that knocked some sense into you. The N64 isn’t quite dead because despite the ever shrinking release list and the lack of N64 games on shop shelves the N64 does what every console does when it is about to bite the bullet, drop in price.

I won’t say where but I picked up Pokémon Snap (did I hear a giggle) for £9.99! That’s even cheaper than Special Reserve’s amazing price. Also Diddy Kong Racing I found that for £6.99 again that’s stupid and these are high street prices! I saw Conker’s Bad Fur Day for a mere £34.99 and for a game that only came out a few months ago and retailed at £60 this is a big achievement.

So do you Nintendo fans have every game you ever wanted to get? There is many a game I wish I had such as Smash Brothers, Mario Golf, Mario Party, Rocket: Robots on wheels, Pilot wings, Rogue squadron, Pokémon Stadium 2, Blast Corps, Excite bike and many, many more.

Why I never go these games?

At the time I never had the money and by the time I did the next title came around and I got that instead. Now with only 2 not yet released titles that I really want (Tony Hawks 2 and Paper Mario and if Sin and Punishment gets a UK release that as well) I might as well keep my N64 alive by buying these classics.

The N64 created many classics in its years and now it relies on these classics to get through it’s last. So whilst you consider getting that Dreamcast or Playstation 2 in order to wait for the Gamecube I ask why? To a Nintendo fan the N64 is better than both of those consoles and as far as I’m concerned unless you are a millionaire you wouldn’t of got ever last N64 smash hit and, well it’s about time you snapped them up.

Hmm. Monaco GP, £9.98. OK, doesn't seem like much of a bargain but to racing fans, I can assure you all that it was.

To right. I only bought my N64 in July 2000. I have since decided that it is the best thing ever for multiplayer games. I have bought lots of wonderful games and I have clocked up literally thousands of hours playing the Ninty. Those classics that you mention are still classics now. They would still be rated as classics if they were to be released to morrow with the only difference to most of them being an improvement in graphics. The N64 is pretty much dead as far as new releases but if you do not have an N64 there has never been a better time to get one. It is at its cheapest and as has been shown if you look around a bit you can find the games cheap as well. Only *She has just deigned to reply* TWINE I set out to buy and was determined to not come home until I had it. So to save me the bother I let SR deliver it. When I have gone out to game shops i have always kept an open mind as to what games I might buy. That has been good as it has meant that if I saw a good game for a good price I would buy it. So things like DK63 I have bought for as little as £17.99 and that has kept me going for 70+ hours. V-Rally is the one that has kept me busy recently, it cost £8. What a bargain. With all these great games available there are always good games to add to your collection. And if you do not have an N64 get one now and start getting those classics. If you do have one get those classics that you do not have yet. Mario Party is a classic that is wonderful in multiplayer and is great for occupying kids, Ridge Racer is great for just driving and being able to pull off powerslides until you feel like the worlds greatest driver. And do not even get me started on the wonderfulness of Goldeneye if you have all the cheats. In short the N64 is a console that is far from dead in terms of playability and will keep you going for years to come. I will continue to get the games as and when money and opportunity allow. I aim to eventually have all the classics. With so many that will take me a long time. It will take me even longer to finish them all. The N64 is in some ways alive and kicking!

Sin and Punishment is good, I have it on import!!!! I still can't find a shop that sells Japanese dictionaries!!

But I do know that the N64 isn't totally dead and it is coughing out some good titles every now and then but when the N64 comes out NEW N64 games will cease to be made!!
