I am trying to connect my network adapter to the Internet but it's not working.

I have an AOL/BT modem box with no free ports, I have the PS2 network adapter and have AOL 8.0 Broadband.

I would appreciate any help, in setting up my PS2.

Yup, try Windows Help (just hit F1 on the desktop and search ICS) or ask in the PC forum - I have gotten ICS to work but it was more luck than skill...

Haven't dealt with it for a while so I'm not the best person to ask. Windows help will be able to walk you through what it is, how its works and how you set it up.

Failing that, post in the Internet forum of this site. There's loads of boffins there that are great helpers.

If he's doing ICS he just needs to connect the PS2 to his PC - one hell of a lot cheaper to do than buying a new modem/router...

A router is good though, I've got one for both PCs and the PS2 but they can cost anything up to 100-150 depending on your needs and the brand etc

To be honest though, you could do a lot better than AOL.

They're too much hassle if you want to share a conection etc.

Heck, even BT Broadband got it right. I haven't had a problem with them at all.

ER...

Problem is you need an Ethernet slot on your modem. Buy a Modem with an ethernet cable slot from BT. Also, get the f*** away from AOL, they do not support gaming.
