Pretty chuffed with myself, finished Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 tonight/this morning, this makes it the fourth game I've finished in about the last 4/5 weeks along with Gladius, Deus Ex 2 and Splinter Cell.

Why do strange things keep happenning on Rainbow Six 3? Sometimes you gfo up to someone, stick the gun point blank in their back and hold down the trigger and somehow they manage to turn round and kill you without taking a scratch! I left a server because of that kind of rubbish last night and jumped on good old Counter Strike instead where 95% of the damage registers 95% of the time.

Probably play a bit more of GTA3 soon, I didn't like it much at first but I've got into the gameplay now and opened up a few more places to get missions from so there's more variety, I hope the introduce some more FPS elements into the next one just so the aiming gets improved and moves away from the State of Emergency like 'fire and hope' troubles that sometimes occur.

Should really get around to finishing Blood Rayne aswell as I almost finished Buffy and Blood Rayne's far better than that.

So yeah, anyway, feel free to post meandering thoughts in here, preferably with some tenuous link the Xbox or something.

"Aaron and Luis have been automating the stress testing. That means they have about 35 debug Xbox systems running overnight, with Master Chiefs running around pretty much randomly, tossing grenades and jumping around blasting aimlessly. In theory, if he gets near a vehicle, he could jump in and drive it around too, but since the system is automated, nobody's actually around to witness the insane nocturnal antics of 35 Master Chiefs."

TeamXbox also have the Rivals 3 points lower than ESPN, although I think they're affiliated with IGN...

True, which is why I had a look at two reviews.

Anyway, I just noticed Gamespot have put Halo in their Top Ten FPS games ever, even though fairly recently it featured in their 'most over-rated list'.

Then again, a reviewer is just one person.

Every person will prefer one thing to another.

For example, a lot of people consider Cice City to be better than GTA3, whereas others think the other way.

A review is all down to bias and opinion

Well a quick browse of Gamespot and IGN puts ESPN above Rivals as far as they're concerned and it looks like IGN really didn't hit it off with Rivals.

As far as I am aware, you can still have four per team in online play in NHL Rivals.

I haven't played ESPN to be able to make a fair comparison, but NHL Rivals 2004 is excellent!

I have a pretty concrete setup for Rainbow Six, so I think I should start practicing with a few more guns to vary my skills. I need to practice with a gun thst can cut it in training then I can switch from Close-ish combat to sniping every couple of rounds.

I need to practice my sniping in CS too, but the AK will keep winning me back.
