Goldeneye2 has been announced by Electronic Arts. It's going to be for all three consoles but it's most likely going to sell out on the cube. They said that you wont be playing as James though. Instead you'll be a ex-agent blah blah blah who cares guy. The point is that he's evil.

Multiplayer is going to be the main aspect that they work on.

That makes sense I guess. It shows how much power the publisher has over the developer though.

Nintendo own the code.
I know that.

Maybe the difference is the GameCube's version of GE2 will have the original game contained within it.

I'd put money on that one.
Remember that this game has been worked on for over a year now. Which is longer than most EA games get from start to release. ;)

They're not bad. Quite good in fact. But they have to buy Rare out to get the Goldeneye code.

Hmm, am I expecting:

EA to make a great, high quality FPS

or

EA to cash in on a name that will sell however good it is, with minimal effort on their part?

If the Tiger Woods guys were working on it, maybe there'd be a glimmer of hope. But I very much doubt that they are.

Why bother when they can keep their existing code and just relabel it "Goldeneye 2"? (Note - probably wwhat they're doing now). They're not the world's richest third party publisher/developer for no reason.
