So far I've got a big-faced dog called... Bigface, a cow called Rainbow, loads of milk and some 'cultivated land' watered.
I haven't played ti for long, about 15 minutes, but it really is amazing.
Get it.
Get a Male and a Female chicken and leave them in the hut/shed thing they live in with plenty of feed. When you wake up in the morning and see that the female has laid an egg, do not pick it up because the chances are its an un-fertalised egg. Wait until about 12PM and pick up the egg and it should be fertilised.
This method works for me. Is there any way of putting two eggs in the incubator? And how long does it take for an egg to hatch?
Ive only had the game a day and im already hooked, woke up this morning went on it at nine, thought i had only been on for half an hour and looked at the time and it was Eleven!
You can get by in the game with that alone.

I'm not sure, I've been playing this for ages and I just made my first bowl of Tomato soup today, yay!
;)

I just finished Winter first year, and then I went to the mansion where that old snobby women lives with the butler, and they had a new years party! While I was there Murrey stole something out of my rucksack during the cut scene, despite me giving him 100G every few days. The swine shall get no more from me!

I never take the Chickens outside, I didn't actually know that you could until just then. What I started off with was one hen and two roosters and I always make sure there's enough bird feed to keep them happy. More often than not I get fertilised eggs, and I've now had two golden eggs as well.
But now I have 3 ducks, a rooster and a hen. Now all I get is ducklings, which isn't a bad thing as they're worth 500G when they grow up.

Yes the chickens do lay Golden eggs, and the part about the Goddess' appears to be true as well. I was following that Yeti around to see if I could find out where it comes from, and I got to the spring near those little elve guys' tree, and it went to a cut scene. The little elve guys then told me that springs contain Godesses but the spring has to be clean, and all animals around it must me happy, also, you need to make an offering just like in FOMT for the Goddess to appear. So I'm trying to figure out how to clean the swamp area near the sea, oh, and the elves said there's no Goddess in the spring near their tree.
Anyway, I only need another 1000G and I'll have enough to buy the Food Processing Building.
