The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.

I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.

If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.

Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

LAST UPDATE - gr13ve - 8 games - 695 points

Lets see how we get on...

HM - 20,000 point increase

I find I have a fairly decent balance between my completionist and realist sides to my gaming when it comes to trophies etc. I'm attempting to get up to approximately 25, maybe 30 platinum trophies by October 2010.

As for the rentals issue, I've just created a thread in the General Discussion part of the forums to try and collaborate experiences of members etc. for anyone else who might want the advice.

You get the Auditore cape if you get all 100 - means all the enemies attack you wherever you go...

Plus after 50, you get a HUGE hammer, with the movement of a light blade.

Of course, never actually reached the 50 feather mark yet, so don't know how well it works...

Yeah i love getting them, but what i mean is i would never diversify too far from the main game (unless it was online and i enjoyed it)

Like AC2 - i would never find all the feathers, just too much work and would not be enjoyable for me.

It does change the way that you game Emmie. I like the idea of completion, so if it's not completed unless all 1000 are found, I feel as though I've failed. Saying that, only 12 games have been fully completed, compared to the 100+ I must have played.

Still, I love the sound of "achievement unlocked".

Can't wait until CSI comes through tonight though, leave an hour early as well, so can crack on with it straight away (well, if it has arrived...).

Not a problem gr13ve.

If you wanted to take part, go for it! If you want me to update the main board with your progress, then post it here and I'll update it. You can set your own target and date if you want as well.

Should be a bit of fun!

I joined Boomerang last night, 21 day free trial so I'll see what they're like. Ive only heard positive things about them so it seems good. Got a rental list of 48 games - didn't realise there was so many games that I want to play. Should save me a fair bit of cash.

P.s you can have your thread back now HM, and good luck with the challenge. I might give it a bash as well with all the games Im hoping to rent.

Tesco is apparently the cheapest. I only went with them as I was given a 2 month free trial by a friend.

Another 70 points last night from Ghostbusters. Think I may be able to squeeze out another 40-50 or so tonight. Fingers crossed that my CSI comes through. Certain I can get nearly a thou out of that one!
