The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.
I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.
If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.
Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

Got 120 on BioShock, updated the main post. Need to crack on and do some more with it to gain more achievements.

Had a lift to work today so no rush for the bus. Got another 15 points from South Park. Hopefully when my youngest stepbrother comes over on Saturday, I'll go for the final 2 achievements and get the full 200 out of it. Going to be tough though...

Got a few points on bioshock. I will update fully tomorrow. Bioshock is ok, not sure how far I will get with it.
Cool - I loved that game!
Will do a full update when I get to work tomorrow as currently listening to audio files of pretty much white noise, trying to pick up otherly world voices (see, my life away from games is really exciting...)

I read today that EA are shutting down more servers for games. The Simpsons Game was one of them. I think it is just leaderboards but I'm not taking any chances so I started playing that again and got 20 points.
Well i completed Uncharted 2, all i can say is WOW - great game. I enjoyed it all the way to the end. The graphics are amazing, the voice acting is top notch and i really am pleased i tried it.
Now got the Online to play with for some time, it is pretty fun. Going to try pick up a few more trophies where i can.
Playing BioShock, it might not really be my cup of tea, but i will try get some of it done and give it some time, i might come around and love it.
Hopefully grab some achievements in the meantime : D

BioShock turned up in the post this morning, i am keen to try it out and see what it is like. Hope it aint too dark, or else i might be put off. I am sure with the great scores and reviews it got then i will enjoy it.
Great timing as Uncharted 2 will be finished soon, but might have to plop that on hold, i tend to use them games as the fillers between LoveFilm lol.
I will hopefully bag some more achievements tonight, i will keep you posted of course!

Couple more on Uncharted 2 last night, i must be nearly at level 5 on trophies!! I should be when i complete the game as i will grab a gold and silver plus a couple of bronze i hope.
After 2 and a half hours of fruitless pursuit of the last 3 platinum medals on PGR4 (stupid bikes), I decided to move onto a different racing game for a bit.
Played some Sega Rally and got 135 points. It looks like it could keep me busy for a while. Certainly helps calm me down after that PGR4 mayhem.
