The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.

I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.

If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.

Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

LAST UPDATE - gr13ve - 8 games - 695 points

Lets see how we get on...

HM - 20,000 point increase

Well Prince of Persia is finished and got 855 points on it, it is actually a really fun game and worth playing.

easy 700 points i would say and then the others are not hard lol.

Getting close to my target i guess and it will be nice ot have completed both that and the Ps3 one!

Chime is an awesome game. I find it slightly hypnotic as well! I believe the 50 points for buying the game is for the fact a chunk of the profit goes to charity. Which I kind of like...

Well done gr13ve on your recent points haul. 20k is a little distant for me too - just not got the time to play games!

I'll have to put my latest ones up soon - a couple on Legendary, some on Planet 51 (both average/below-averages games... ): ) and the slowly increasing total from Tropico 3. Love the game...it's really funny!

Time for an update.

The following are total scores

The Saboteur - 135
Bad Company 2 - 825
Sega All Star Racing - 270
Fifa 10 - 245
Metro 2033 - 5 (hardly worth mentioning but I got bored)
Just Cause 2 - 595

Not making very much progress, that 20,000 figure is looking like a dream now.

Been a while since my update and aint done much but here we go;

Prince of Persia: TFS - 315 points
Lost Planet 2 - 30 points
Nier - extra 35 points
FIFA South Africa - extra 10 points

I will grab some more on Prince of Persia, pretty fun game, but gets repetitive!

Only 2,000 more left to meet the challenge and i have more than met my Ps3 target with lots of time left!!

No gaming for me as the World Cup has consumed most of my playing time and E3 videos have flooded me the last week.

I did download Splosion Man in the half price deal they had going. I'm also tempted to go against my starting plan and just flood my score with a few easy points. I think I'll stick with my current play though for now.

I also have 1 Steam achievement now! *waves banner*

50 points from Grid and that is Grid finished. Really pleased I've finished that before the World Cup. Spent at least 18 hours racing online and that doesn't even count the single player stuff and sitting in online lobbies.
