The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.

I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.

If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.

Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

LAST UPDATE - gr13ve - 8 games - 695 points

I know what you mean about the points. I was put off by the price and the size of the island but I backed down eventually and bought it and it is a really good piece of DLC. I think I just need to complete one online challenge to nail all the trophies for it.

Yeah, I've seen the achievements for the Big Surf Island DLC and they are pretty easy. The drawback is it is 1000 points. I've borrowed a camera so I can get the camera achievements. I might focus on that and then leave the game for a bit.

I've got just over 50 to do towards my Elite license... I'll get there one day.

If you've got the Big Surf Island DLC then I'd recommend giving that a bash, the achievements are easy enough to get too.

An update for my score... 55 points on Singularity.

And that is that. 120 points and the single player of Burnout Paradise is finished. Still have online and DLC to do but that can be done another time. Not sure what I'm going to do next. Still got a bit to do and time is running out.

80 points from Burnout Paradise today. About 80% through the single player now and got the Burnout license that makes the credits roll. The drawback is there is an Elite license. All the events (apart from Burning routes) reset. I was greeted with the delightful sight of 93 event wins to Elite license. Got a fair way to go then.

Got a bit more Gamerscore recently and new 360 plus a few more games like Transformers and Split Second should see another increase soon.

90 points from Burnout Paradise tonight. Edging closer towards 20,000 and hopefully get a few online achievements to finish some games.

I have a selection totalling just under 1000 to add. My tally should start to rocket from next week as I am using up a lot of annual leave! Bring on the gamerscore ;)

I am omitting tropico and Alien vs Predator currently as still working on them....

Legendary - 90 points
Planet 51 - 40 points
Blacksite - 20 points
Scrap metal - 15 more points
