Do Mario games appeal to me? No. Do Zelda games appeal to me? No.
Does MGS2 appeal to me? Yes. Does Smackdown 2 appeal to me? Yes.
Why is this?? Well, it's partly because the first ever console I got was a PSX, which unlike the N64, didn't specialise in cartoonie platformers (that is not a dig, just telling the truth.)
It's also just down to taste, I guess. While Mario and Donkey Kong appeal to some, Solid Snake and games such as GT3 appeal to others.
I remember going over to Darkness' house to play on the N64. I enjoyed it there, as Darkness is a good mate and we both love games, but you end up thinking to yourself, "I much prefer the PSX games."
Darkness felt the same way round my house I expect, but now he has a PS2-I don't feel like that anymore!
So people who say, "Ah, but the GameCube's specs are better and Nintendo are more experienced, that means the games will be better than on PS2!"
That my be true...for that person. This person may feel as though the games Nintendo create are better than what the PS2 has to offer.
But for me, I much prefer what the PS2 has to offer, which I'm sure people such as Wookie, Turbonutter, ssxpro and Bonus will agree with.
I guess I'm contradicting what I've said before in these forums, and I expect I will in the future. {:) Although, I expect we all do at some point. I mean-why are we all arguing over which console is 'best' on these forums?!
Anyway, one final thing. Good luck to you with your GameCube. I won't be buying it, and I hope it won't do as well as the PS2-but I hope you guys enjoy it.
Thanks for reading, Ant.
However Crash Bandicoot is coming to Game Boy Advance and maybe GameCube, Spyro the Dragon is coming to Game Boy Advance, Metal Gear Solid has already been released on the Game Boy Color, Raymand Advance is a direct port from Playstation, Resident Evil 2 (I think it was the sequel) has been released on the N64, so there are quite a few games that have made it from Playstation to Nintendo consoles.
By the way, don't call us 'Ninty's' as that is a childish name for 'Nintendo fans' and it makes the biased fans of Sony look even more stupid.
Ok, I used to have a site called Nintyrules, and it may come back in the future, but when Sony fans are quoting from NOM, it gets beyond a joke!
Ironically the most childish comment I've ever heard :-D

NO!! WRONG!!
{:) "ONCE YOU POP, YOU CAN'T STOP!!" CLASSIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't wanna miss out on RF though, I'm on the final boss now, it's got a brilliant single player, as well as great multiplayer.
Too good for a GameCube. Too adultish. :D

I don't know who made Red Faction but unless Sony actually owns them, you should see a GC/Xbox version on the shelves sooner or later.
Very amusing. :D
Konami are very much PS2-and it's very unlikey that MGS2 will be on the GC, not for a very long time anyway. Especially when Kojima said that it wil be PS2-only.
Red Faction is amazing-and there's no news of that on GC.
Polyphony Digital is a part of SCEI, so I don't reckon GT3 will be released on it.
Actually, I haven't heard of many PS2 games coming to GC apart from SSX.
Why weren't more PSX brought out on N64 then?
I.E. Us Nintys will get the best of all worlds.
Ant, YOU WILL TURN RED.
YOU WILL BUY A GAMECUBE.
YOU WILL BECOME A NINTY.
You just don't know it yet.
I have forseen it...
lol remember that story... :-D
