It's strongly rumoured that this title is very far along the development process, and it was thought that Nintendo would be showcasing this at Spaceworld.
So what should Nintendo do. Go head to head with EA with their snowboarding games?
This could displease EA, and they could revoke support for the GAMECUBE if they don't sell well, as the Ninties settle for Nintendos 1080 offering.
However, with a head to head battle, it could generate more interest, leading to people buying a snowboarding game, simply because of the attention that the battle will bring.
Or will Nintendo hold off 1080s sequel, until the coast is clear, ready for next winter?
However, I doubt they'd pull out all together, but they might work less hard on GCN versions, porting over other versions rather than making them special, as it wouldn't be worth their time to do so?
Also Nintendo need to stay on 3rd Party's good sides, after the N64s poor support. - Though this was more down to a lack of storage space on carts.
However, would EA really pull out because Nintendo a launching a game of the same genre as theirs (EAs)?
That seems a little childish. It's like Sega saying to Sony, if you release an arcade driving game, we won't release Crazy Taxi and we'll stop developing for you.
