It's strongly rumoured that this title is very far along the development process, and it was thought that Nintendo would be showcasing this at Spaceworld.
So what should Nintendo do. Go head to head with EA with their snowboarding games?
This could displease EA, and they could revoke support for the GAMECUBE if they don't sell well, as the Ninties settle for Nintendos 1080 offering.
However, with a head to head battle, it could generate more interest, leading to people buying a snowboarding game, simply because of the attention that the battle will bring.
Or will Nintendo hold off 1080s sequel, until the coast is clear, ready for next winter?

I'm not to sure about the costs of optical discs, but I doubt Nintendo would be daft enough to make the games more expensive, simply because they used more discs.

Um, well, I'm older than you, so NER!
I don't think it really matter who gets them first. Especially considering that the GCN isn't released yet. What's more important is how the games play.

One of the main differences between cartridge and disc is that it would have been highly impractical to have a game on multiple cartridges, but having multiple GAMECUBE discs will be no problem, if necessary.

Even if they don't get more sales, they will probably still sell enough to make money.

Wont the same happen this time round with the optical disks. I know 1.5 GB is alot more than the N64 carts but with the way games these days are designed and made will this be enough?
There isn't much point holding back on releasing it, and if they do it will be unfair to the fans. From a marketing point of view they would be better to release the worst of the 2 then about a month later release the better one. That way they get better sales. This isn't fair on the fans, but most developers don't care anyway.
