On the "What's happening with Gameaday topic," I lost my temper when a little when finding out that cheats had won-when I was hoping to win for a review of Red Faction I'd written.

I'm very sorry for getting so angry. I've been here long enough to know the rules, and I shouldn't complain.

Anyway, the main reason was that I just hope people aren't winning for copying key combinations onto SR from sites such as SR.

I don't mind people winning for tips, or cheats they've found themselves. Of course, we don't know if they're copied or not-which is why I am apologizing.

All I'm saying is that you constantly shout about this and threaten to leave.
It's not just you Dan, I get the impression that when someone wins GAD, there is an elite task force of Foggers that paste each line into a search engine and then wave their arms about and start screaming "Cheat!".

I didn't attack you personally, haven't resorted to any kind of "you suck...you are a loser", I just said stop moaning all the time.

The only thing that I will say, and not in an attempt to flame you Dan, is that whenever you feel something ain't right, you threaten to leave - so stop hanging around somewhere that aggravates you so badly and leave.
Nobody's forcing you to stay and get so wound up by this whole thing.

Please, don't start with getting personal and using asteriks for cursing Dan, this isn't me slamming you for being anything else other than a constant complainer about other people winning.

I'm not throwing personal insults at you Dan, just saying that people will win GAD for entering cheats and reviews that they maybe copied from somewhere else.
I'm not saying that's right, I'm saying let SR deal with it.
Just email them and leave it at that.
And I don't care to email anyone about this, because it doesn't matter.
What does matter is when I see topics each and every day from people complaining about not winning/other people winning for whatever reason.

I appreciate you post many, many words. But a lot of the time, people can't be bothered to wade through them. A pity, because a lot of the time, they are intersting reads.
However, check someone like Grix or Meka.
They post every single day, many many words on many,many subjects.
And I have never, ever heard them moaning that someone else won.
And no, I'm not saying you shout because it's not you.
I'm saying there's no need to shout at all, just let it go.

Yeah Goatboy - a bit hypocritical don't you think? Can't you resist writing an essay on how you don't care if a cheat wins every single day - complaining at me for actually caring - then say stop whining - if you have an issue with me, you email me, don't take it to these forums - a light hearted comment by me sparks you off on some kind of Cheat crusading rant - you're here to aggrevate people - don't take everything to heart, if there was only me and you here, and SR gave away two games and a film each day, I'd leave.

We're in a games store. All of us, we've all got money, but only one of us can buy a game each day. Then, when you think someone else should have won, someone runs in the store takes your money and pays for the game, runs off and leaves you stranded. They have no wanting to come back and talk to us, oh no - they don't give a monekys.

And niether to you. It's the same as stealing - it isn't "only a game Dan, shut up you little whining git", it's about ethics, issues that you don't seem to have grasped. Special Reserve don't actually spend much time at all selecting the winners - it's not on their list of priorites.

So, Goatboy - you don't think you're bullying anyone, but when someone tries to do something right - i.e. emailing SR telling them around 5 people who have cheated, because you've found the review some place else, they then change it - you have a go at them.

I won't fight with you because I don't stand anywhere near you illustrious mountain, give it up boy. You're not kidding anyone.

If I was on here to win GAD, I'd have left a long time ago! The SR forums are the only one's I've ever really been interested in reading and writing in, as all the others pale in comparison to SR's and particularly these FOG forums.

Anyway, as Tony said a while back, come August we will have several GADs rather than one all-encompasing one, which will hopefully calm things down a bit.

Whatever happens though, I'm staying!

I did read your posts Goaty - and I replied to the one that annoyed me most. Except - you happened to post one as well that was a lot nicer and more apologising that I didn't know was there. So, the post where I was degending Dan should never of happened - that's life ay? Forget that 'insulting' post Goaty - just a muck-up.

I've gone into this before with Dan when I tried to get him to go mental (remember that one Dan? You spammed this board and got warned by Tony?).

Post what you like and win with it, doesn't mean a damn thing to me I'm afraid.
And it's not that I can't "put myself up to the challenge" of complaining, I see no reason to.
It's a computer game for chrissakes.
A bit of software, nothing else. Let SR deal with things, if you feel someone has "cheated" in some way, then email them, don't start jumping up and down here because it's happening every day near enough, with Dan leading the charge.

I haven't insulted you Dan, I didn't say "you suck", I just said that if you get so worked up about it, and you keep threatening to leave, then do so.

SR aren't going to think "Oh no! Dan will leave! Quick, to the Batforum!". It doesn't matter mate, you leave, I leave, anyone leaves, it doesn't matter.

Just calm down, say congrats now and then to someone for winning and take life easier, there are better things to worry about than who wins a free game.
