A simple question: What is your favourite game genre, and why? Do you like all games? Do you always make sure you get the latest game in a certain Genre? My favourite Genre is adventure games. My fave game of all time is Grim Fandango, and the Monkey Island and Discworld games (all 7) will always have a place in my heart (metaphorically, or they'd get all gooey). Whats yours?

You obviously didn't read my post then if you say that. I said I was an RPG freak but I also pointed out the fact that I am a Ninty. RPGs are something us Nintys do not get very often, unless you have a Gameboy, although I need a 64/128bit RPG now to satisfy me.

You're lucky, MJswerve and TB_2K1, good RPGs and FPSs come out all the time, whereas I have to wait at least 8 months between decent adventure games. Noby seems to bother making them any more which is a real shame, especially concerning Lucasarts and GT interactive.

FPS. Fun, challenging, graphically superior, and usually great multiplayer. FPS's rock!

I am a RPG freak me. Although my RPG cravings have had to be cooled by some 16bit classics. Why? I hear you say. Well the reason being I don't have a Ps2, Ps or a Dreamcast (it is my brothers) so I haven't been able to play any RPGs since Zelda: Majoras Mask came out.

You know whats even worse? Zelda games aren't even proper RPGs. When I say proper I mean Turn based battles and getting experience in your battles and things like that. This means that I haven't really played any proper RPGs in my life.

I have PLAYED them, but I haven't ever owned them. The only RPGs I can say I own are Zelda games (Zelda: Links Awakening, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask), but as I have said I don't consider them as proper RPGs.

So how exactly am I an RPG freak then? I mean I don't even own any. Well this comes down to the fact of emulators. I have got to play many great games through emulators, these include Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Earthbound. Obviously I deleted them after 24 hours (yeah right I did), but I have really enjoyed playing them.

Another way I have got to play RPGs has been my friends owning Playstations. How will that help? Final Fantasy of course. I have got to play Final Fantasy games on their Playstations although not to the extent that I need. Obviously Final Fantasy games are not games to be completed quickly so I have never really got to play them properly.

So RPGs are my favourite genre, but I am not going to stop it there. I am going to make a point about the severe lack of RPGs coming out for Nintendo consoles, and I mean CONSOLES not handhelds as the GBA should have many good games on it for me.

Hopefully the Gamecube should set this problem straight. I mean where has Mother 3 disapeared to? A great looking RPG that has been in development for so long it is unbeleivable. Also Golden Sun (originally for the N64) was scrapped in favour of a GBA game of the same name. Nintendo owners have been severly cut out of the RPG world.

If this happens to the Gamecube (please god don't let it) I think I may be forced to buy another console. I need RPGs and I will go wherever I have to, to get them.

I suppose that it's because of the technology involved in making the games, that's why I would never buy a comsole, becuase they cant make good management as the hardware make that type of game making impossible

I love F1 games. I don't get all of them as most are pants. I've found that GP3 on the PC is the best so far, and that'll last me 'til the next one.

Why is it that you don't get any good (by that I mean in-depth) F1 games on consoles?
