"Favourite Genre"

A simple question: What is your favourite game genre, and why? Do you like all games? Do you always make sure you get the latest game in a certain Genre? My favourite Genre is adventure games. My fave game of all time is Grim Fandango, and the Monkey Island and Discworld games (all 7) will always have a place in my heart (metaphorically, or they'd get all gooey). Whats yours?

if you like those you'll love broken sword and i hear the third is on it's way to the PS2.


I love all games near enough but i can't get enough of the survial horrors/action adventures like silent hill,parasite eve,res evil,

Also try:- Deus Ex and Theif!

I'm not all that fussed on them really. I played UT or something on the dreamcast a while back, its just not my thing.

"Deus Ex" and "Thief" are two top "Eidos" games. This is why my favourite gendre is action/adventure.

Hey if you want to get into FPS's play Ranbow six. That'll prepare you for 'orrible FPS's. I hate FPS games, but there is something very good about R6.

Any game thats fast for me. GT3 is a cool game though its a bit slow, i'm looking forward to ExtremeG3 and Wipeout fusion. SSX2 and Tony Hawkes3 are both going to be great.

I can't get on with FPS ar all. Probably because I'm completely rubbish at them, and the people who i play them with are really good. Its disheartening... (sob!)

Lucky for me, FPS's are always in abundant supply. At the moment, I have Red Faction, and I'm looking forward to Perfect Dark on the GC.

But lucky for me, I like most genres, except racing. Crazy taxi, mario kart etc, I like, but not driving simulators like the GT's

Nope I bought it with my brother but he don't like it.

Why would I want a Ps2 once the Gamecube has been released exactly? I would only want one in between now and its release.

Like the traditional Ninty I'm torn between platformers and fps -the 2 N64 specialities. It's the best console for both although the PC might beat it in the FPS area.

But with Jet Force Gemini came a new style, a platforming shooter.

Mario control style until you hit the R button and the camera zooms in with a cross hair and the Turok control system kicks in.

It works brilliantly and has hardly been used.

This system will probably be used for Metroid and After Dark on the Gamecube.

if you're 14 and complaining that you dont have a PS2, why have you got an N64? I presume that your parents bought it?

Well you should have asked for a PS2. If you are waiting for a Gamecube, then ask yur parents to get a PS2 instead.
