I know this has probably been posted on these forums before but I haven't seen it, so here goes: I was just scrolling through a list of intended GC releases when 2 names jumped off and hit me in the face (ouch). These were Metal Gear Solid 2 and SSX Tricky. Is this true? Please don't tell me the only reason I got a PS2 was for GT3! Pllleeeaaassseee!

SSX tricky is on the Cube. Cool! It means that more people get to play this great game. Same goes for MGS2. Its good for the developers, they get to sell to a whole new audience without having to come up with a new idea. Its great for us because they sell more, they make more games, we get more games.

SSX: Tricky will be released in the US in time for Xmas.

Here it will probably be released at around the time of the GAMECUBEs release, or wiat until next Xmas, as it's a season title! Winter - snow - snowboarding!

Nothing official on MGS. I doubt that Konami would port MGS2 straight from the PS2, but a version of the game could certainly make it's way to the 'CUBE eventually, probably depending upon sales of games that are targeted at a similar age group.

MGS does not fit on a cartrige.

MGS2 fits on Optical Disk nicely.

Do you see?

So er-no, why was MGS not brought out on N64??

And aren't Polyphony Digital, makers of GT3, a part of SCEI??
