UPDATED 1:00 12TH OF MAY

E3 is here, so its time to chat about the things you liked, and the things you really liked! Yesterday we saw a few surprises from the Nintendo Press conference.

If you want to re-live the live E3 thread running commentary then I suggest you http://beta.hometown.aol.co.uk/discodexy/myhomepage/nintendo.html .

I had to host yesterdays running commentary somewhere else, because I want to make room for today’s running commentary.

Enjoy E3, and Enjoy this thread, you can expect to see clickable’s as soon as we get them!

Remember if you post links when I'm updating, I’ll mention your name :)
Thanks for sticking with the E3 thread.

Day one lunchtime round-up:

Square Enix's President, Yoichi Wada has just announced at the company's pre-E3 conference that the RPG heavyweight developer is due to release a brand new title for the DS launch.
A new franchise, Odama, based on feudal Japan is due to be shown. The game appears to be controlled in the first-person format and the L & R buttons on the GameCube control your swords.
Cube Wars is unveiled as: Advance Wars: Under Fire and will hit US stores 27th September.
GameFaqs.com has added four new DS games to their database: Metroid Prime Hunters, Picto-Chat, Super Mario 4 x 4 & WarioWare Inc. DS.
Another possible picture of the DS unveiled (see link in updated main post). It says it'll support GBA games - a good move I think. Pictures from the show floor reveal that the DS will actually be called the DS, it is no longer just a code name.
More GEIST screenshots released. http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=6440
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat unveiled - a platformer which will use the Konga drums!
5 New GBA titles now been confirmed as showing up in playable form: Racing Gears Advance, Donkey Kong: King of Swing, Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Gundam Seed: Battle Assault.

Just read this now, so this might have been the mystery in house Donkey Kong game. Its good that they are using the drums for another game, but i can't really see it working. I'd like to see it in action first :D

DS pics are already out. It looks.. like any other handheld. Also rumours of a second slot on the back for GBA cartridges. In other words, they have put it out in competition with the Gameboy Advance, despite everything they said at the beginning. That's another market blown!

This is a render but it's official:

Not sure, no.
I can't seem to load that DS logo.
Every picture bar the DS logo loads...

Edit: just got it to load now. Not very clear.

I never get excited about E3 until the actual day. Does anybody know the time that the conference starts, UK time that is?
