"Disgaea: Hour of Darkness"

I noticed that a lot of people have been talking about this game recently and I thought that it would be good to have your opinions of it. Lalakersrule says that he has clocked up 800 hours on it so either it is very very addictive or Lalakersrule is extremely sad. ;-) Anyway, I was looking through the latest issue of Official Playstation Two Magazine and I saw a preview of it and to my horror it only had a quarter of a page when GTA: San Andreas had six pages on it! So I looked down and saw why. 2D graphics!!! I know that it has sold millions in Japan and other countries but I never thought that it would have Two-dimesional graphics. I am not saying that graphics are the most important part of a game but I expected a game that had sold so well to have at least half-decent graphics for god's sake. But I still think that after so many good reviews there is quite a large chance of me buying it when it comes out over here.

So what do you guys think of it? I don't want people saying stuff like 'oh yeah, it sounds good'. I want people who have imported it to give me a first-hand review and help me out.

I've had a 4,000 chain with 6 different colours. Easily got me up to 9.

Far as my names go they all have a story behind them

Kawada - Taken from Battle Royale, he was my favourite character and seemed to suit a ninja.
Amanda - Named after my gf in Canada
Aya - Friend over in Japan
Damien - The eternal fist character looks quite evil so picked that name
Robin - Good name for a theif i thought :-D
Mayumi - Another friend from Japan
Kelly - Another friend
Tara - Friend from Canada
Andre 3000 - couldn't think of anything else and i was listening to Outkast at the time :-D

Argh! In the item world, I'm stuck. I'm encircled by higher ground (DM +33 from where I am...), and I can't just jump up - max. jump is 20.

What do I do? Please help...

Wow, Geo thingies are so cool.

Got to the stage where you need a key to get to the rich guy, and was going through a "common sword". Level 4, I get a specialist, kill him with Laharl - nothing too special. I then get my brawler to go pick up a geo symbol (I had the geo panels off at the time) and throw it at the guy below me, simply because it was in my way. Then, it gets destroyed (from the throw), and a combo starts. And goes on. And on. And on.

End up with 1511 chain and 4 color combo, killing everyone except Laharl and filling up my bonus gauge to 8.

Anyone beaten that???

Azure - archer

Lol, why is saying names so embarrasing? Not like it reflects on you... ;D

Lana - Cleric (Whoo, from Smallville. She's so hot.)
Star - Ice Mage (I know. I couldn't think of anything. Such a pornstar name.)
Rayne - Warrior (Bloood...)
Abram - Brawler (Like the first president. He sucks. So do I, at naming things *cries*.)

Then a couple from the hidden classes i won't spoil for you. They are uber powerful though :-D

Heh, did it yesterday, 3 level 5's, 1 level 6, 1 level 7 and 1 level 9...

Levelled my brawler up until he could attack the ghost (?) on the right, Laharl until he could attack the mage (and kill in the first turn), Etna until she and my mage could combo the archer out, and just sorta left my cleric behind to heal everyone. Worked a treat, because the enemies "forgot" to use the panels. Then I got on them with my mage and used the +1 Attack to kick.

Whoooo.

On... Episode 3.

What extra characters did you people get? And what did you name them??? (Always interesting ;D.)
