Yeah I know it'd been done before, but now there are a few more Mac users on these forums and a few more potential Mac users, I thought I'd re-start it and get your opinions.

So, are Macs better than PC's? Or vice-versa?

Discuss, argue, shout and scream.

The apple Imac is flipping fantastic. It has it's faults but what doesn't?

compared to a PC which are ok but windows crashes everything in sight and puts money in jolly bill gates's pocket the imac is OUTSTANDING.

get em in all sorts of colours too.

Im not sure which is best. I have a lecturer at uni who teaches one of my computer science degrees and he hates PC's with a passion and also dislikes the work of Mr Bill Gates. So seen as he has far more knowledge in the subject than me I would be guessing the mac is better. Saying that Im using a PC right now and Im happy with it. Guess it depends what you use it for.

Lol, strangely enough your post wasn't what influenced me to post this. What did is a piece I'm writing at the moment.

Apple has a glorius history of introducing users to both technology and computing philosophies while the rest of the world isn't looking.

Heh, I could see this coming as soon as I posted that..

Anyway, I have to use Macs at school for this DV project, and aside from the occasional crash, they do it well - I'd choose a Mac over a PC for graphic design any day. I also much prefer OS X to Xwindows or Win9x, but I haven't used it enough to go with it over Win2k yet..

I prefer PCs for...everything else really. General compatibility with peripherals, upgrades, games support, range of apps (I know this is improving for the Mac, but PC still holds it in my opinion), and being able to run all the Linux distros.

I'd like to see Mac get a larger share of the market, but I can't see myself buying one - I've always preferred being able to build my own PC and upgrade it easily with parts available from most retailers, not just Mac specific ones.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
