But now it seems to be Deep Blue Sea with prehistoric beings (and dinosaurs too) This is perhaps another blatant attempt at cashing in on special effects and marketing.
PS. Why have there been NO good Jurassic Park games?
I haven't written about specific events in the film, or said what happens but SOME OF YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS UNTIL AFTER YOU'VE SEEN IT.
So what did I think of Jurassic Park 3? Do you want the good news or the bad news? The good news is that there's a really good bit just under a third of th way through the film.
The bad news (and it pains me to say this) it's the only really good bit. The rest of the film simply isn't very good at all. The action sequences are too short and far apart and the non-action sequences (often called 'the plot') don't stir up any interest whatsoever in what's going on.
There are some really daft elements (like how they realise a certain dinosaur is near and a bit near the end involving raptors).
All in all this feels like a film that was made because it had to be made. And extra year of work on it would hae no doubt produced a much better finished product but then again another year would have put it head to head with Star Wars Episode 2, Star Trek X, X-Men 2 and a couple more big releases, not to mention between two chapters of The Lord Of The Rings. Basically next year will be the year of the blockbuster and quite simply, even with the previous two films under it's belt, Jurassic Park 3 in it's current incarnation would probably be beaten to a pulp by all of them.
I'll post some opinions on Friday night if I'm here.
:)
