Holy crap! I'm so getting me one of these. Doesn't look to dissimilar to the prototype revealed last year, except that it's black, has a proper D-pad and some volume facia buttons. In short, it looks awesome.

The pics I've got from a press site show it with Gran Turismo 4 - not the PS2 version, the PSP version. How the hell did they keep that under wraps?

Sony execs, listen up - as long as you don't charge over £250 for this thing, you're going to make more money than Jesus by selling this sweet baby. Just get it out before summer next year and you'll be laughing. Laughing I tells ya! Compare it to the (let's face it) really dull mock-up of the Nintendo DS (found on Eurogamer.net) and it jizzes right it in its coffee.

Yar. But it still looks pretty sweet up and running.
It could well turn out fantastically. Then again, it could not.

I have (some) faith.

You know that MG: Acid will be more of a turn based strategy "card" game.

Whew - a damn fine game list going with the PSP. Metal Gear, Ys, Ape Escape, GT, VJ, DMC, Hot Shots - and those are just the ones I've heard of before.
+ Tonnes of brand-new'uns.

A line-up almost (almost) rivalling the DS's.

I'm rather moist over these new handhelds - a massive step forward.

The DS was never intended as Nintendo's competitor against the PSP, that's the GBA 2's job. The DS will be an effective indirect challenger; a third platform. A marvelous business move by Nintendo.

Battery life? That's the only thing I'm worried about on the PSP. The rest seems fine.

Of course, we have to wait to play the games in order to find out how good the systems are. Both DS and PSP are looking a very good prospect to buy and I believe they can both survive in a handheld market. May even bring prices down after a little while.

I look forward to seeing what kind of movie and music features will be possible with the PSP.

The proof is here:

Also talk of two player Puyo Puyo on one PSP, end to end. And you might notice the game there with a 'logout' option on screen, confirming, presumably, wireless network play.

Has there been any indications as to a possible price tag for this yet?
