I'm totally uninformed about what it is. Is it just a funky way of linking your DX up with a friends with no wires, or is it like some funky ass online gaming system with no wires and no need for broadband connections and crap like that?

Dam this dam island. No chance of anywhere here being a hot-spot. Maybe my school is but I don't wnat to walk 9 miles just to play multiplayer!

I'm guessing the stylus is for talior-made games, while the normal controls will be far more used.

Anyone with a P800 knows that playing games with a stylus just doesn't work.

My entire department at uni is wi-fi enabled, should mean some fantastic multiplayer games WITHOUT using Linux.

The 3D is on the bottom screen, so you could move the aiming reticle with the stylus.

Imagine.

Wifi sounds great, but even if it's only in certain places, normal wireless would be great providing you had people to play against.

As too Metroid, I'm all for a DS version, and I can imagine uses for a second screen, but touch screen? :-D

You're being silly Dringo! :-P

Starbucks is WiFi enabled. A whole bunch of places are. But you do have to pay to access it. My flat is WiFi enabled in fact, but at least I won't have to pay at home.

But seeing as I have no desire to swap Pokemon across the world whilst on the pan, then no biggie until they do something decent with it.

I'm not sure of their popularity in the US, as there aren't many WiFi enabled units to exploit the hotspots. As we get much the same treatment as the US hardware wise, except on a smaller scale, I'd be surprised if WiFi was popular in the US.

japan however, has probably gone in for it big time. The culture is more geared towards it there, where public gaming is encouraged rather than mocked.

It could work out over here. It's just that we are 20 years behind as usual. Look at our Broadband - 1,2Mb? Pah, other Countries are getting much faster connections for a lot less than we're paying for these.
