Well, E3 is here, and eh, does it look like the PS2 is finally dead?

There are no major PS2 announcements from Sony.

No top quality Sony games, no nothing about the PS2.

No online wants, no single player wants, just nothing.

A not very interesting announcement about Cell workstations by the end of the year, and a hand held device.

So, the PS2 finally dying?

We've got Metal Gear Solid 3, and Gran Turismo 4 to look farward to as exclusives, woohoo :D

My Xbox might be my favourite console in the coming months, Doom 3 Live, Halo 2 Live, The Red Star, PES Live, and the full EA lineup Live, yes I want NHL on my Xbox.

Microsoft are now THE major player in the games console industry, and Live has swung it for them.

However i think Sony can get away with it at this time at not having a number of exclusives. I mean most people have already bought a PS2 and because most can't afford to support more than one console then they'll stick to the PS2 so the fact the games aren't exclusive doesn't really matter. Now when the PS3 comes out and it doesn't have a good number of strong exclusives then that's the time to worry for Sony.

For me to buy an Xbox they'd need at least 10 good exclusive titles that also aren't on PC for me to consider buying it. Right now it has nowhere near that many that i like so the PS2 is keeping me very happy in games at the moment, most of which actually ARE exclusives (Disgaea, Front Mission 4, Generation of Choas, Socom 2, La Pucelle Tactics etc etc)

You making idiotic generalisations.

"You're making this place as bad as the Nintendo forum."

So the whole Nintendo forum is bad because one person tells you to shut up? Heh.

Precisely why I said 'will not' and not 'is not', you fool.

Cusack, I'll gladly accept that if there is official sources saying that San Andreas will not be coming to the Xbox, then I'll just have to accept that I was wrong.

There's still no need to act like a prat about it.

That's what they said about the Twin Snakes, we still need to play both games. And the Getaway was designed by Team Soho, while Kill Zone is being designed by Guerilla, it's totally different.

That doesn't deny the fact that San Andreas isn't going to arrive on Xbox. And the Nintendo forum is better than this place.

Killzone is gonna be another case over hyping like he supposed GTA beater that was 'The Getaway'. From previews I've read it sounds like it has some good ideas but the framerate's awful and the controls need a lot of work, now compare that to the previews of Halo 2 and I think you'll see just a slight bit of difference in reception.

As for the GTA thing, the exclusivity deal for GTA in Europe ended at the beggining of the year, while the States ended a bit earlier. I'd expect to see San Andreas on the Xbox about 6 months after it comes out on PS2, judging by the Xbox's Xmas line-up that's definetly a good thing.
