IGN have added a number of tech demos and early game vids today and I have to say there are some great ideas packed away in there.

From what I've seen, Baloon Trip could be brilliant and probably uses the DS' abilities the most.

Take long to load, but enjoy them.

The DS has two processors.

The first is an ARM 7, same as in the GBA but running at twice the clock rate.

The second is a new ARM 9 which includes things such as sound codecs and generally makes the system capable of much more than the GBA.

It is possible that the ARM 7 is just there to support GBA compatability, and the ARM 9 is the true DS processor.

I've played Balloon Fight through Animal Crossing.

Definately one of the Nes elites, but this Balloon Trip is completely different. As good as Fight was, what would you do with two screens? :-)

Balloon Trip? Is that anything to with that ancient NES game few have actually heard of, Ballon Fight? It does sound quite similar... I hope it is too. Thanks to Animal Crossing, I got the chance to play and enjoy the original. Should make a great DS game, simply for the fact it's quite a "new" multi-player game to so-many.

Heh. Those touch-screens had better be made of something tough too. If Metroid: Hunters is anything like 'Prime for combat, you sure will be hitting that A-button - or screen - a lot, and hard! ;D

I'd heard somewhere that each screen had its individual processors, one being similar to GBA power and the other one being more N64, but after seeing the Pikachu demo it seems I was mis-informed. :-)

I know the Prime series is meant to be different, but seeing as they're the supposed future of Metroid games... :-)

It would be nice if they put a third person view in the top screen.
I think that was one of your idea's originally Dringo! ;-)

And it did seem to be single play in the demo, unless other players were playing as those little bugs that were getting squished! :-D
Perhaps the focus is multiplayer but I expect that there'll be a single player alongside it. Or TS2 style training subgames atleast. :-)

From the video on IGN it certainly looks liek there's some form of 1-player.

I see the Prime series different.

Hunters is a pure multiplayer game Strafio... there is no adventure mode...

And it's on the bottom screen because you use your finger to shoot etc...

Hunters looked just like Metroid Prime, but why was the main action on the bottom screen? That's the touch screen, right? :-S

And why have the FP'd it permanently?
That's annoying.

I mean, Prime was good but it lacked a good portion of what a good Metroid game should have.
