I have heard a lot of praise to Nintendo about the size of the GameCube(oid) but I ask you this: Who really cares?
It's a bloody games console for God's sake. It's not supposed to be portable. You've still got to lug a telly and assorted wires and then how will you power it? If we're using size as a selling point these days, may God help us. That's even more petty than graphics.

The Xbox is just huge by anyone's standards. OK, it looks nice, granted. I think the PS2 looks noce as well. It goes very well with my bedroom.
Sigh it just looks nice honestly turbonutter whats the point in saying Size is pointless we know but Japanese people don't like big things which is why they have rejected the X-box already with Japs saying it is rubbish.
But the PS2 takes up less space than the GC. Vertically you can slot it between things, and horizontally it will go in a VCR space. The GC will do neither of these.
Anyway, this is pointless. The whole "small" thing is pointless. It's a games console, it stays in one space. yeah, you can carry the GC by the handle to a mate's but who's honestly going to do that. You could be mugged or laughed at or be showing off.

The handle and place to store wires enables you to carry it to a friends
It doesn't eat up much space, doesn't get in the way
We like small things
We just think the GC is small and cool that is why we praise it ok nothing more nothing less.
