hi - i wonder if anyone can help.

i have a new laptop and am having trouble getting on to some sites (eg. paypal and tesco -when you have logged in) The green bar at the bottom slowly moves to show that it is loading but then stops at about 5 little block things.

Any suggestions?? Thanks

thanks - i'm not sure what a firewall is or how to turn it down? Can you help?

If turning off your firewall does not help with this issue, it may be worth checking out a setting called 'MTU' on your router. This is usually set at around 1500 by default by most companies. Try reducing this to 1492, if this does not work, reduce it again to 1458.

You will probably have to turn your FIREWALL down to medium whilst logging in and using these and some other websites.
