I just won't pretend that a graphical improvement wouldn't enhance my enjoyment. However, that's a very generalised comment. Good graphics is relative to each game, and what the game is trying to do. Take Animal Crossing, for example - by my usual standards, it's got terrible visuals, but they actually suit the gameplay and do their intended purpose. So, in this respect, the graphics are good. Same goes for the old 2D NES games. Putting Super Mario Bros. into snazzy 3D would ruin it completely, which is why there was a similarly large gameplay overhaul when the jump to 3D was made in Mario 64.
But ah well we all have different opinions, each to their own as they say
Obviously, graphics aren't important as the likes of gameplay and a fluid control and camera system, but they're still a factor in how good a game is.
You can convet enemies over to your way of thinking.
Penny-Arcade educated me in the ways of the game...
Obviously if a game is unplayable because of really bad graphics and camera system then that would put me off, but visuals are way down on the list of important things for me.
But then again i have been gaming since the days of the spectrum and commodore 64 so as long as it has more than 20 colours and is in 3d i'm ecstatic hehe :-D
