On the Nintendo front. It seems after a mad blast if sweet titles everything has suddenly died a painful death for the time being. E3 was decent but that doesn't make up for a lack of releases in the mean time. I have scanned through the titles to be released however all the main ones are the back end of this year with the possible exception ofPikmin2which will hopefully be brought forward.

Haven't played my Cube since completing Metal Gear: Twin Snakes with LIVE and Ninja Gaiden taking up most of the playing time. My current Cube collection is pretty much complete with very little to nothing else worth getting at the moment, possibly Mario Golf will be my next purchase when they finally release it this summer.

So if anyone can enlighten me on decent release in the meantime I would much oblige.

Cheers!

RS3 is pants offline, online it's great.

I'm happy with my Cube. Twin Snakes is sublime, and there are a million other games I'd like to get, if not a few coming out in the enxt few months...

As I said, the single players are good but online for both games provides so much more and is ultimately what you are left playing. Both have short single player campaigns, for me anyway, wouldn't say above 2 days on both and you would have finished them. I am a bit of a completionist and go back to finish on all difficulties so that can be doubled. Most people though just finish them and that is that.

Xbox LIVE - with relation to both these games - extends the replay value by months. In fact I have clocked over 180 hours online on Rainbow Six 3 and over 70 online with Splinter Cell Panora Tomorrow, game times like that were only really seen in RPG games prior to console online gaming getting a massive boost by LIVE.

It doesn't matter if they were 'better' (That's a personal judgement anyway) on the Xbox, because they're still great games being released for the Cube, aren't they? Not everyone has an Xbox as well as a cube, you know.

The Cube versions are only getting half of what the Xbox versions get. Both games mentioned are far better online than offline. I would say that makes a massive difference.

What will be the big gameucbe exclusive to come out just in time for christmas though? that will surely play a key role in the upkeep of nintendos reputation. Last crimbo mario kart and F zero just about did the trick but at the moment it dosnt look as if there will be anything phenominally big to attreact the casual gamers.

i sure hope nintendo bring some release dates forward...

There haven't been any great releases by Nintendo, but there's been quite a few decent games come out this year, you can't deny it. PoP is the one that comes to my mind, as well as CDS2, MGS, FFCC, Harvest Moon and there are some to which I'm not sure of the release date (BG&E).

Pikmin 2 comes out in September, by the way, as does Mario Tennis, and Donkey Konga, Zelda Four Swords and StarFox 2. Paper Mario 2 will be out by the end of the year as well, and who knows about games like Odama, Advance Wars, Geist and so on.

Think back to the N64, there were hardly any Nintendo exclusive games really, and when there were they didn't come along that often.

True, but where's all these amazing exclusives that Ninty are known for?

IMO Nintendo have really let the Cube down this year. Sure there's gonna be Zelda next year and also Resi 4 which will be excellent, then there's also Pikmin 2 at the the end of the year, but what else?

There hasn't been a single worthwhile release so far this year by Nintendo (unless you count Metal Gear Solid, which I don't) . There's been a few 3rd party offerings but that's it really.

Why does that make a difference? Just because the games are on other consoles doesn't mean that they're not valid releases for the cube.
