Looking forward to a long and exciting single player though, if the first is anything to go by it will be a cracker!
Just been 'levelling' up on the offline game.
C'est super.
Great on Xbox live.
Till my broke my disk :@
I once spent a good hour or so on 2/3 challenges, and managed to rack up huge combos on relatively short tracks, simply by linking slides/lines and the cone gates. Was geekily fun.

Yeah, they are highly addictive.
It's one of those cases of knowing that i can do something, but just can't, and the frustration that goes with it.
Once you've powerslid the tightest of gaps and are onto the home straight, only to mess it up by touching a cone can get eriously annoying.
The first PGR, and M:SR on the DC even more, was all about driving stylishly. Sliding the back out etc. Whereas PGR2 isn't. It's been made more realistic, and if you want to win the races, you just don't have time to drive all flashy.
Second, I don't like the fact that you're limited to what car you can use. In the first game, you could get a car, and use it for ages, learning how to drive it best to get the most out of it. Here, you can't. You do a series, and then have to get a different car.
Also, in arcade mode, you have no choice whatsoever.
All in all, although I want to like this game, I don't think I do.
Perhaps I just need to put more time into it, who knows....

Live is great fun, if only my Xbox didn't crash...
Live play is of course excellent.
The only thing in the game that really annoys me is the stupid AI opponents. The way they all follow the same path and often will smash you out the way if you happen to stray into their path is plain annoying. Oh and cone challeneges still suck.
Excellent game though.
