i am reletively new to the whole internet thing (laptop for Xmas) Not sure about a couple of things:

can I go on to more than one web page at a time eg. if i am watching something on e-bay can i minimise that and look at something else?

what is a blog? - someone asked me if i had one. are they just like an on-line diary? Can anyone see it? What are the advantges of doing one?

would appreciate it if someone can answer these for me - feel a bit of a dunse.

Ah I'll have to get it then =)

Didnt a new series of Ray Mears start the other day? Afraid I missed it :(

Oops I forgot to mention Michael Palin. Infact when I came across this I thought you might also like to own it Borat, if you had £60 to spare. =)

I watched the Life of Brian shows the other day. What a great movie ^^

That's interesting Borat, I would like to read blogs by the following;

Hayao Miyazaki
Stephen Fry
Tony Robinson
Terry Pratchett
Chris Barrie
Ray Mears (he's great, not sure if anyone else watches him)

Anyone else got a list?

A blog is someone chronicalling (a word?) their life, their thoughts and views on the internet in the desperate hope that someone out there cares ...

Pessimistic view perhaps ... hmmm, have to work on that.

I wrote one blog entry and deleted it on myspace when I realised I was boring myself.

Now if (real) celebrities (not the type that appear on big brother or who might have slept with someone famous) wrote decent blogs, it might be interesting. Though they wouldn't, as then everyone would realise they are just like everyone else, and not god-like ...

Maybe it's just where I live then! Or maybe it's because they know my dad is the greengrocer who delivers there. We go to a lot of nearby restaurants because we get offered free meals there for being a supplier.
