I am glad that somebody else mentioned UFO: Enemy Unknown. I have been playing this game since I had in on the Amiga 1200 in the very early nineties. I never get tired of it. I have gone with it from the Amiga to the Dos version and on to the more recent windows version. I can't think of any other game I have played on and off for nearly 15 years

It's a tough decision between Vice City and GTA3. GTA3 had the best city design and didn't feel too over the top, but then Vice City did go a bit over the top, but sometimes when I play Vice City I think that's a good thing.

I don't know, GTA3 deals with the gritty side of the gangster lifestyle, but then Vice City focuses on the more glamourous side. They're both brilliant games and to be honest I can't pick one.

So I'm just going to say the entire GTA series(including the PS1 games). I know I'm only allowed to pick one game, so you can just discount this post when adding up the totals if you want.

Vice City maps, in general, annoyed me.

I had to think hard about this. I could have chosen an ancient title like DOOM, or PONG or Monkey Island or Jet Set Willy or Street Fighter 2 or Mario World or something else daft. but they really aren't that good compared to modern titles.

Then I was going to choose perfect dark, and it was a very close run thing, but in the end I had to choose Vice City.

You say GTA3 is better - well, it had better maps and locations in my view, but the soundtrack, sheer scale, plethora of weapons and big name voice actors, aswell as many new vehicle types, made Vice City the best of the two.

It isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination - the AI is laughable at times, but it's my favourite game of all time.

And if you've read this far I commend you.
