I know anyone out there who has it will agree that F1 2001 is undoubtably the best F1 game on any console. I myself traded in F1 Championship 2000 to get it and boy am I glad the difference is amazing- graphics, presentation, AI options, setup, everything on this game is miles better.
What I would like to know is this:
Does anyone have any decent gear ratio settings for the Mclarens and Jaguars, the process of trial and error to find good ones is long and boring (worse than GT's) any advice or tips would be most appreciated.

There are so many ways to improve Formula 1 games. I have a few ideas but I will not say what they are.

Thats nice of them, I may write a letter and complain a bit :-).

I'll have a think at what should be included in F1 2002. When do you go to Studio Liverpool?

One thing I have noticed and am a little disappointed with is the commentary. When leading a Grandprix you never get any commentary. I can go through a whole race with only a few words from Murray, when in F1 97 they had tons of commentary where they would talk about fuel weight and how it effects the lap times e.t.c. In F1 97 they never shut up like on TV but F1 2001 was a disappointment.

Also when Murray/Martin say something really entuseactic(Spelt wrong, cant be bothered to get a dictonary) they then say the drivers name in a really boring way which doesnt link in to the previous mood. I know they cant do much about it but they could have a few different mood levels for saying the drivers name.

A great feature would be the saftey car. Also when cars go out it still says out of 22, when it would be alot better if it would say how many cars are in the race.

Also in previous F1 games there was the information shown on the bottom of the screen like on TV but for F1 2001 its gone.

F1 2001 is still a great game for anyone considering to buy it(PSW gave it 10/10) but a few of these improvements would make it the best F1 game ever.

Sorry, I don't know much about the gear ratios - just that you make the red bars longer for high speed tracks and shorter for low speed ones!

But I was wondering that seeing as quite a few people found problems with the game (F1 2001), what features would you want to see in the 2002 game?

I have written to SCEE about the problems with F1 2001, and I have now been invited to Studio Liverpool for a day to spend with the development team and have an imput for the next game, so what should I ask them to put in the 2002 game?
