The game has just been released on the Playstation in the USA, along with Final Fantasy 4, and I'd recommend picking up a copy. You'll have to import it though, it'll never get a launch here.
Anyway, Chrono Trigger had a sequel, Chrono Cross. This too has recently been released in the USA, and will never make it over here, but again itis considered to be one of the greatest RPG's available on the Playstation.
I shall be encouraging my brother to get a copy of this, because the first game was so awesome, though the original characters are not in the sequel if it has anything of the spirit of the original it will be astounding.
What annoys be is the way that Nintendo let go of Square so easily. They had a good relationship during the SNES days, working together on the Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars (again, not released here!). Square found that the N64 cartridge format was too restrictive for their needs, and decided to develop for the Playstation instead. As a result the N64 had very few decent RPG's. None in fact, if you don't count Zelda.
Anyway, the point of this thread is that Square's Chrono team are working on the next in the series, and are currently undecided about which platform it should appear on. After the revelation that FFXI may appear on the GAMECUBE after it's PS2 launch, it's quite possible that Chrono could come home to Nintendo.
I believe that Nintendo should do everything in their power to make this game available for the GAMECUBE, they should build bridges with Square now, forget the problems with the N64 and get on with things, bringing quality RPG's back to Nintendo. Nintendo have to stop being so proud and pig-headed, and ask Square to come back, afterall they actually want to release their games on all platforms now!

4 sentences later and he finally gets it right!
Congratulations!
Should be capitalised.
Yes, I am mocking you. But only in a joking way.
