But.
That doesn't mean you should detract the experiance of Live - it's the first gaming experiance since the hay-day of the N64 to really get me hooked on games again, and Halo 2 looks to blow this all away and expand it even further!
I appreciate LIVE because I know it would be excellent if I hadn't killed online gaming time over.
There is only CS: Source that I play these days online and I don't exactly kill it, don't have the time these days.

But it's on a console - that's the thing. I've played many PC games online and they've been great, but Live, even with smaller amounts of people, is just so much more fun. True, I don't have a headset/mic for the PC, so that's a big drawback, but I've enjoyed playing these games with other likeminded people on Live - of course there are similar people on PC, but on Live it seems so much more fun. It's easier (which unarguably it is) and yes, you don't have all the mods/options, and I'm not saying PC online is bad, because it is quite the opposite, but Live puts you in a sofa on a TV. not in a chair on a PC. If you see what I mean.

Well, that's your problem. Personally, the Halo 1 multi demo on Blood Gulch on PC had me hooked, and it looked crap, had very limited options and no voice. So imagine what Halo 2 might do for me...
Unreal

I loved UT, didn't like 2004 so much. Onslaught was good though.

True enough - it's down to taste of course - but seeing as I haven't 'exhausted' online play, I'm thinking I'll be hooked.
It is interesting how the single player seems to of taken a backseat to the multi, when Bungie professed the opposite. It also seems a little too early to be saying 'yup, disappointing as I predicted' and 'oh the story MUST be crap, because one person has said so'.
Icarus, what level you on so far. Just in middle of Level 4 now, some good things to look forward to.

Ah, clever... it auto senses when its dark and leaves it on then. I knew I'd start to get used to it.
