Got this with my Xbox a couple of weeks back only to ignore. For me it just didn't live up to all the hype and after discussing this with Notorious Biggles I though I would go back and give it another go. Well after playing it a second time round I must say its truly...amazing. After getting past where I got to last time (343 Guilty Spark) it was time to take on The Libary. After many people saying it was the worst level in the game I really cant see how. It was the level that introduced the hardcore shooter it is known for.

All those Flood just running at you its immense. At the moment im on the last bit with that massive 3km drive to the ship in a Warthog.

Great is all I can say now I see why its rated so highly.

I actually find it sad that you can't appreciate the game for what it is.

The irony that you would call others 'blind' is quite funny since it appears you're blind to what makes it so good.

Just go back to your Cube ok?

Rickoss is right. If me and a mate were so desperate to complete a level as it was that repetitive and boring, then surely it's quite crap?

I'm not taking anything away from the game. I just beleive they rushed the last few levels.

Maybe they're not. Maybe it's just you looking too far into it, just because it's so popular.

So what you're saying is "it's not Goldeneye"?

It was never meant to be, get over it and try playing it as the game it is.

Ah yes, I obviously left my brain in fanboy mode, thanks for the reminder.

Or perhaps I've just got a lot more enjoyment out of Goldeneye than I have Halo and think it's a better game. Oh no, that couldn't be true as it contradicts your opinion, therefore it's wrong. Come on Hedfix, anyone can see that the level design is shoddy, even if you do rate the game highly. How so many people can be so blind is beyond me.

Oh, and how come you seem to have an inability to correctly type right at the moment?

Riiiiiight.

Riiiiiight.

Awwww can't deal with only having 2 guns? It's called making use of what you have, a test of skill...

It seems you forgot to flip your brain back onto 'normal' this morning it appears to be stuck on 'retro fanboy mode'. Halo is not Goldeneye, yes it's an FPS but Ithink most of us are smart enough to realise there's a LOT of variation in the FPS genre. So you prefer Goldeneye? It's miles away from Halo in it's approach to the genre.

As far as boring levels and an 'annoying' realistic approach to equipment are some of the most retarded comments I've seen directed at Halo.

One of the most pathetic criticisms of Halo I've seen in a while.

Oh, so very untrue.

The only reason the story was like that was because the developers couldn't be assed to design new levels, simple as that.

Surely it'd have ruined the story-line if they didn't go back to the same place?

If the whole game had been set outside then it would have been the BEST GAME EVAH!!11!

But it wasn't and I constantly had to trudge around boring inside sections that slowly sucked my intrest in Halo away. Oh and the last 3 or 4 levels being the earlier levels just backwards with different enemies was a really cheap little trick that I'd have thought most people would have had a problem with...obviously not though.
