The lastest news about Tottenham involves them preparing to make a bid for the excellent striker Andrei Shevchenko. This would be absolutely brilliant for Tottenham if they signed him as he would be able to once again partner Sergei Rebrov, who he partnered when they both played for Dynamo Kiev and also when they both play for their country, Ukraine. He s a prolific goal scorer and has been for both club and country for quite a few years. If Tottenham were to sign him, it would show that they have got a lot of ambition, but they would have a lot of competition from other clubs who would also want to sign Shevchenko.

You do not seem to know much about football do you? You say that Spurs have never done anything good but they were the first English team to do the double, as well as being the first English team to win a European Cup. (I think it was the UEFA Cup) I will admit that over the past 10 years, Tottenham have not been a top side but they can only get better and they will. One last thing I would like to point out is the fact that Tottenham have won the F.A Cup more than any other English team, apart from Man United.

Milan are still one of the biggest teams in the world, they may not be the best but if you went all round the world asking people which teams do they think are biggest teams in the world, there response would be Man Utd, Roma (becuase of Nakata), Juventus, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter Milan etc.

There would be no place for Spurs because they are cr*p and have never done anything good. So why would Shev go to a rubbish Spurs side with no hope of winning anything.

And if think that if Shev goes to Spurs, Spurs will win something you are surely mistaken. One world class player does not win a trophy for a rubbish side.

Shevchenko is a world class player. He is the type of player that plays for teams like Barcelona, Juventus,Real Madrid,Milan....Tottenham dont come anywhere really.

But maybe the thought of playing with his old mate rebrov is the motivator.

Shevchenko could do so much better than Tottenham. I think Tottenham are being optimistic.

What i found funny was that Iversen might be going the other way in a part-exchange!

Sergei Rebrov has got no intention of leaving Tottenham where as Shev wants to leave AC Milan so I think you will find that Spurs fans won't have to worry about putting his name on the back of their shirts as he will be playing for us next season. Below is a piece of text taken from PlanetFootball:

"The fact that Tottenham are not in the Champions League would not be a reason for Andrei not to join them," said Varga. "Milan are not in the Champions League either, and England is his first choice.

Finally, AC Milan are no longer one of the best teams in the world. When was the last time you saw them playing Champions League football? I think it was quite a few years ago.

You must be joking there is more chance of Ronaldo playing for Everton than there is of Shev playing for boring Spurs!

Although i do think that Rebrov will be teaming up with him during next season. When Shev tells Milan that if they don't buy Rebrov he is off! So all Spurs fans better not put Rebrov on the back of their new kits because you will be waving him goodbye in a few months.

Do you really think Shev will move from one of the biggest teams in the World (who are playing in Europe this season), to move to Spurs who have no chance of qualifying for anything next season with old king Teddy up front for them.

Enic do not have 30 million to splash on one player. Glenn Hoddle probably doesn't have that to spend on new players now.

Thanks
